Privacy notice

How Utility Maple handles personal data collected through this site and consulting inquiries.

Data we collect

  • Contact form fields: name, email, optional consultation interest, brief scope note, and message
  • Emails and call notes when you reach us directly
  • Technical logs such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited when essential for security
  • Cookie-related preferences as described on the cookies page

We do not ask for national ID numbers, payment card numbers, or health data through the public form.

Purposes

  • Responding to consultation requests and scheduling scope calls
  • Delivering and administering consulting engagements
  • Securing and improving the website
  • Meeting legal and accounting obligations

Where Taiwan’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) applies, we process data for contract performance or pre-contract steps, legitimate interests in operating a consulting practice, consent where required (for example non-essential cookies), and legal obligations.

Retention

Inquiry emails and form submissions are kept up to 24 months unless a longer engagement file is required. Engagement records are retained for up to seven years for accounting and dispute purposes, then deleted or anonymized where feasible. Server logs are rotated on a shorter cycle (typically 90 days) unless needed for security investigation.

Recipients

Data stays with Utility Maple and processors who host email or the website under confidentiality terms. We do not sell personal data.

International transfers

If a processor stores data outside Taiwan, we use contractual safeguards appropriate to the destination and purpose. You may contact us for information available about such transfers.

Your rights

Subject to PDPA and other applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing, and you may object to certain processing. To exercise rights, email info@utilitymaple.click. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent Taiwanese authority.

Children

The site is aimed at business professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Updates

We revise this notice when practices change and update the page accordingly.
